History

Education is the right of every child, but there needs education according to the intelligence of the scholar as everyone is unique in their own way. In this context Vincentian Mission Service Society thought of an English Medium School in Yeola as its prime objective is that no child should loss its core lacking opportunities. We create opportunities and we give shape to minds yet to form. Yeola was chosen to start the English Medium school is just because then there were no schools in english medium. So the management appointed Rev. Fr. Paul Tharakan to go ahead with the mission and 5 acres of land was bought from Dr. Narayanrao Khokale on November 29 in 2002. In 2003 Fr. Paul along with Bro. Sebastian Kalapurathottiyil started the Pre-primary section in a rented house in Yeola city. On February 5th, 2004, we bought an additional three and a half acres of land as extension of the existing plot. On April 4, 2004 the foundation stone for the temporary Pre-primary building was done by Fr. Paul Tharakan. A temporary building covered by asbestos sheets was made within three months. The blessing and inauguration of the building was done by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Pandarathikudiyil in June 12, 2004. The permission for starting the primary school was obtained from the government authorities in the year 2005. Due to the increased admissions, the foundation stone for a new building was laid in September 2, 2007. In June 14, 2008 the new Primary school building was inaugurated and blessed by Provincial Superior Very Rev. Fr. James Kallumkal VC. The construction of the complete ground floor was completed in 2010. And by 2016 the school building was completed with its 2nd floor.

Now the school is one of the best and prominent schools in Yeola. A total of 200 students passed out of the schools in five batches having 100 percentage result every year. The school is indebted to parents for their encouragement and support. It is their trust in us makes us more focused towards their dreams for their children.

Aims and Objectives

At De Paul we believe that every child is unique and we respect the diversity of the talents within the school community. The primary objective of De Paul School is to impart sound formation (physical, mental, social, moral, religious, eco-friendly) to the young minds. The institution also aims at an integrated development of all stakeholders. The method of education followed in this institution is the one taught and practised by St. Vincent De Paul, a great educator and social reformer. It is based on the reverential love for God, on Conviction, on the helpful presence of the educator for timely corrections and guidance. St. Vincent termed it as Reason, Religion and Loving Kindness.
